How to create lines and borders

Post  Admin on Fri Nov 30, 2012 12:32 pm

Lines and borders can be handy to create sections in your layout.

To create a line, add a Label controller and set the following parameters as follows:

Screen label: (blank)
Width: approximately 10 (for vertical lines)
Height: approximately 10 (for horizontal lines)

To create a border, simply add several labels set up as lines to create the border.

Using a Label as a background

Post  russhart on Thu Dec 13, 2012 2:07 am

Just found and bought this app. Starting to setup a template for a digital mixer and playing around with the label to make lines, discovered you can use it as a background to a group of labels. You either have to place the label first, and place the controls on top, or you can setup all your controls, then place the label the right size over all your controls, then go and edit the file, and move the code for that label to above the code for the controls. I.e. One nice rectangular border around your controls. If you need irregular borders, you could layer different size labels.

Update:- Looks like I was a bit quick with the above advice. For some reason the controllers won't work when placed on top of a label. Maybe something for the developer to look at.

Yeah, I tried that too when I was building the app.

A feature I'll be adding later on is to be able to use a label as a background like you wanted, but to also be able to load a picture inside the label.

you can now use labels to completely surround a group of controllers. Labels will always appear behind controllers now.
