importing layouts

Post  MADI on Sun Jun 09, 2013 1:04 am

not sure if the problem is the editor or the app itself, but when importing layouts to my samsung galaxy note 8.0 they fail to show some of the controls shown when loaded in the editor.
this has been my only issue yet, setup was easy compared to some other similar osc apps, and the versatility of the editor is a godsend.
props man, this is android gold.

Hi MADI,

I am not the developer, but maybe you can already provide some details ?
Do you use the correct layout width/height ?
Is it happening with every layout ?
Is it a special controller type that does not show up ?
At certain positions of the screen ?
Controllers overlapping with others ?
Anything ?

hey Madi

I'll add another question:

Are you using the app in trial mode (ie you haven't purchased the unlock yet)? If so, you'll only see 15 controllers at the most.

thanks for the replies, got it all working now.
I would like to know if there is any way to make layouts portrait instead of landscape.
I'm in the midst of creating a fairly comprehensive set of mappings for Traktor Scratch pro, which i will post when finished.
Traktor should have its own place on the list of DAWs. this program unlocks the true potential of all of Traktor's controls with its modular interface.

To make a layout portrait, just reverse the X and Y values for the screen size. When the layout is loaded in the app, it'll show up as portrait.

fantastic, the only thing i have left is the question: can I layer controls so as to add an on/off signal to a knob (such as a touch on/off to a jog wheel).

Nope, not with the current version. I'll probably implement something like that later on Smile
