Unwanted behaviour Momentary Button

Post  coupe70 on Mon Mar 04, 2013 6:09 pm

A push (toggle) button is supposed to send 2 different states - 1 when pushed for the first time (on)
and one when pushed for the second time (off). A momentary button CAN send 2 different states -
1 when pushed (momentary on) and one when released (momentary off).

BUT: When ON and OFF values are equal (or even empty for OSC use) a momentary button should
be considered a trigger. In this case the button must NOT send the same message again when released.
But at the moment it does, this is unwanted behaviour. In Ableton Live for example this triggers the
transport buttons twice which leads to unwanted effects.
